
Ingredients
- 4 cup flour
- 1 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 3 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup butter, cubed
- 2 apples, peeled, cored - shredded or diced
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cranberries - frozen work well (sprinkle lightly with flour to stop from bleeding) ordried
- 3 Tbsp milk
- 3 Tbsp white sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl and whisk together.Cut in butter until crumbly. Add apple, cranberries and milk. Mix/stir to make a soft dough. Turndough onto lightly floured surface and knead gently; cut dough into 2 pieces, and roll into 10inch circles.
- Once dough is ready for cutting, brush tops with milk. Combine the sugar and cinnamon andthen sprinkle over the tops of the dough.
- Cut circles into pie-shaped wedges, 8 to 10 per circle. Place on greased baking tray and cook at375F for 18 - 20 min or till golden brown on top--test with a pick/butter knife if unsure. Serve with butter.
